The Studio · How we work

We don’t pick winners.
We build them.

A fund places bets. A holding company collects them. A venture studio builds companies from the inside — on a shared spine of people, tools, and infrastructure — and operates them until each one can stand on its own.

How a company gets built

01

Thesis

We start from a problem we can name a person who hates. No deck, no demo — just a sharp, specific pain and an angle the giants ignore.

02

Bench

Concepts live on the bench, sharing one spine of tools and infrastructure. They get built cheaply and tested honestly before anyone calls them a company.

03

Build

When a bench concept earns conviction, we staff it, ship it, and put it in front of real users. The studio operates it directly — we are the first operators, not the investors.

04

In market

A company graduates when it stands on its own: its own brand, its own users, its own economics. The spine stays underneath; the storefront is entirely its own.

The shared spine

One studio underneath every brand

Each company ships faster because it doesn’t rebuild the boring parts. The studio is the spine; the companies are the body. Brands stay independent — the scaffolding does not.

Design

One brand toolkit and component library, so every product looks considered on day one.

Engineering

Shared platform, CI/CD, and observability. Companies inherit the boring, hard-won parts.

AI engine

A common core that turns messy documents into compliant, submission-ready work — reused across ventures.

Back office

Legal, finance, HR, and vendor relationships handled once, for everyone.

What “earns its keep” means

A concept only graduates when it clears four bars

01

Real pain

A specific person is miserable about a specific problem — and would pay to make it stop.

02

Fair market

Big enough to matter, small enough that the incumbents won’t bother.

03

Operator edge

Something about our team, network, or stack gives us an unfair head start.

04

Durable shape

A believable path to profit and longevity — not just a path to the next round.

Miss a bar and the concept stays on the bench — or gets retired honestly. We’d rather kill a good idea early than operate a company we don’t believe in.
